DERECK BROWN – Assistant Manager – Joined the Club in mid-February 2016, along with Hippolyte, at whose side he worked at Yeading and Maidenhead United.  An illustrious playing career took in Wembley, Hendon, a highlight at Woking where he was an FA Trophy winner (vs Runcorn), Walton & Hersham, Welling United, and Yeading.  Also assists Mark Fabian in running top veterans’ side Manor FC.  Represented the Middlesex FA.

STAINES TOWN FC

FIRST TEAM PLAYER PROFILES 2016/17

George ADEMILUYI – full-back

Born in Houston, Texas, but moved to London at 5, and spent time as a junior with Thamesmead Town, Gridlockers FC, Welling Wanderers (twice winners of the Kent Youth League), Phoenix Sports, and Elite Pro Sports.  He recently had a trial at Sheffield United, following previous trials with Barnet, Southend United, Peterborough United, and Leyton Orient.  Joined Staines in July 2016.

Wadah AHMIDI – central midfield

Wadah joined the Club in February 2016, but had to wait until the following month for his international clearance from Sweden to be granted, having appeared in Division 2 there for Karlstad BK.  He started with London Tigers as a 9 year old, and stayed at that club right through to their First Team playing in the South Midlands League.  He then moved to Maidenhead United of the Conference South in 2010, before making the move abroad, first to Sitra FC in Bahrain, and then to Sweden.

Bobby BEHZADI – right back and Player/Coach

Came to Wheatsheaf Park in February 2016 with his former boss Johnson Hippolyte from his days at Maidenhead United, where he had won promotion and two Berks & Bucks Senior Cups.  He had previously been a league winner with Yeading, and appeared for Stevenage Borough and Hayes.  Was once signed for Staines Town as cover, but never actually played for the club or even visited the ground.

Mohamed BETTAMER – striker / winger 23

Mo joined Staines town at the start of the 2016/17 season, having spent the previous three seasons with Al Ahly (Benghazi) – a club who play in the Libyan Premier League which has not operated since 2014 owing to the unrest in the north African nation.  Mo also gained U21 caps for Libya, and played 7 games in the CAF African Champions’ League.  Born in London, he started his career as a Watford junior and U18, then moved on to London Tigers, Hayes & Yeading United, and Hampton & Richmond Borough before taking up the option to play in his father’s country of birth.

Henryk BIELENIK – goalkeeper

Joined Staines Town shortly after the start of the 2015/16 season from Westside FC (from the Southfields area of Wimbledon), and has previously had trials and friendly match appearances with AFC Wimbledon, Brentford, and Crystal Palace.  In February 2016, he was part of the English Colleges representative side which competed in a tournament in Italy.

Tommy BREWER – midfield

Joined in November 2014 from Ryman Premier neighbours Hampton & Richmond Borough.  He has picked up a lot of experience in Middlesex, with stints at Bedfont Town (the now sadly-defunct Southern League club), Wealdstone, and earlier in his career with Crawley Town up to 2011.  He is a versatile player, generally operating in midfield.  Attracted several offers to remain in the Conference South over the summer, but opted to commit to Staines.

Bayley BROWN – centre midfield

The 6’4” tall younger son of Assistant Manager Dereck Brown, Bayley was an Academy player at Tottenham Hotspur for four years, before joining Maidenhead United as a member of their Under 18 team.  Spent last season with Northwood in the Evo-Stik Southern League – helping them to win the Middlesex Senior Cup, before switching to Staines Town in July 2016.

Daniel D. BROWN – midfield

A powerful player who began at Maidenhead United, where he spent 3 years, and then enjoyed a very successful period in the Conference South with Wealdstone—confusing some Swans fans as his run of goals began just as our unrelated player of the same name  left Wheatsheaf Park.  He then went on to Wingate & Finchley in the summer of 2015, playing 23 league and cup games (1 goal) for them until opting to join Staines in February 2016.  ’Brownie’ is the son of Assistant Manager Dereck Brown.

Jeremiah CHONG – winger

Jerry moved to England at a young age, having been born in Australia, and spent time with Kingstonian, Leatherhead, and last season with Tooting & Mitcham United.  Joined the Staines Town Academy in September 2015, and earned his first senior outing a month later.

Chinua COLE – left back

One of the four players brought in by Johnson Hippolyte upon his arrival in mid-February 2016, ‘Chin’ joined from Barnet, and had started the season with Farnborough.  Earlier in his career, he had appeared for Hanwell Town, North Greenford United, and Biggleswade United, and represented the England Colleges U19 side in a series of matches in Italy.

Mitchal GOUGH – central defender

Formerly with neighbours Ashford Town (Middlesex) where he started in the Under 9s, and also had early stints at Chelsea and Fulham.  He followed this with a couple of seasons at Hampton &RB nursery club Epsom Eagles, and then had a year with Wycombe Wanderers.  He gained rep honours with Surrey, helping them to reach the semi-finals of the FA County Youth Cup.  Upon his release from Wycombe, he spent a year doing a Sports BTEC at the renowned Hartpury College, and while playing for them they completed a League, league Cup, and National Colleges’ Cup ‘treble’, and he was also in the England Colleges squad.  Had a two seasons in the Southern League with AFC Hayes, and then split the 2014/15 season between Arlesey Town (playing under Rufus Brevett) and a return to Ashford.  ‘Mitch’ signed for the Swans in July 2015, and was awarded a contract that Christmas.

Kane HAYSMAN – attacking midfield

Came to prominence at Gillingham, where he made one Football League Two appearance in 2013.  He had a series of loans to Sutton United, who eventually made the move permanent, clocking up 32 Conference South appearances for them, followed by 52 for Eastbourne Borough between 2014-16.  He is a player who had been tracked by previous Staines Town managers, and was captured by ‘Draxs’ in June 2016.

Jonathan ‘Cash’ HIPPOLYTE

Joining Staines Town at the end of February 2016, soon after his father became Manager at Wheatsheaf Park, ‘Cashie’ had previously been playing across the bridge at Egham Town.  Prior to that, he had served Hampton & Richmond Borough.

David IKAČ – central defender

Left-footed Slovenian David joined Staines from Hillingdon Abbots in 2016, and was previously playing in Serbia with ADA011.

Jefferson LOUIS

A much travelled striker, who has two World Cup qualifying caps for Dominica.  He started with Thame United, from where he was snapped up by Oxford United, whom he helped to win League One.  Went on to play for Woking, Forest Green Rovers, and Stevenage Borough in the Conference, before returning to League soccer with Bristol Rovers.  After a spell with Gravesend & Northfleet, he briefly played under ‘Draxs’ at Yeading, then went on to appear for Mansfield Town, Wrexham, Crawley Town, Rushden & Diamonds (FA Trophy semi-finalists and Play-Off finalists), Gainsborough Trinity (under Brian Little), Darlington, Hayes & Yeading United, Brackley Town (another Play-off final), Lincoln City, Newport County AFC, Whitehawk (on loan), Hendon, Margate, Lowestoft Town, and Wealdstone.  Has also played on loan at Lewes.  Joined Staines Town in June 2016.

Devante McKAIN – centre back

The first of four players introduced to Staines Town immediately upon the Feb 2016 arrival of Johnson Hippolyte, he had previously been playing in National League South with Hayes & Yeading United.  A former Fulham junior, he moved on to Maidenhead United where he rose to become a first teamer before being sold to Gillingham.  Although he made only a handful of First Team appearances there, he remained for 3 years, helping win promotion, as well as enjoying loan spells at Maidenhead and Bromley.  He is 6’1” tall, and has also had a spell with Boreham Wood.

Tyrell MILLER-RODNEY – wing back

A former Fulham junior who spent 4½ seasons as a young professional with Brentford, including loans to Boreham Wood and Maidenhead United in the second half of 2014/15.  Signed for Hayes & Yeading United at the start of the following campaign, before moving on to Canvey Island, from where he was signed by Staines Town in the first week of Johnson Hippolyte’s tenure as Manager.

Tré MITFORD – striker

Tré signed from Burnham in early March 2016, and has previously appeared for Redhill, Chipstead, and his hometown club Deal Town.

Aaron OKULEYE – centre forward / centre midfield

A real find for the club’s Academy in June 2014, his only previous experience was playing as a junior with Raynes Park Vale.  Despite picking up a late-season injury, he finished last season as Staines’ joint top scorer in the U18s, and deservedly made a couple of Conference appearances, too.  Has made a very good impression after making a full recovery during the summer of 2015, but his outings in 2015/16 have again been hampered by a long term injury.

Billy ORAM – midfield

Billy started his career with AFC Wandsworth, whom he helped to league success, and then went on to play for Links FC.  From there he joined the Staines Town / Kingston Academy in June 2014, and made his First Team début just over a year later in the opening pre-season friendly victory at Tooting & Mitcham United. An attack minded player who operated anywhere across the midfield

Darnell SMITH – centre back

A powerful young central defender, who came up through Barnet’s Academy scheme to gain a first year scholarship in summer 2015.  In August 2016, he became the latest of a number of Barnet players to come to Staines on a loan basis.

George SMITH – midfield / defence

Stepped up to the Academy this summer, having previously been with Surrey Primary League winners Staines Town Juniors.  Made his First Team début aged just 16½ in the Isthmian League Cup win over Hampton & Richmond Borough, playing the full 90 minutes.

Reece TISON-LASCARIS – midfield

Came to Staines Town in July 2016, joining from Ryman Premier rivals Wingate & Finchley, having previously gained plenty of Conference South experience under Johnson Hippolyte at Maidenhead United.

Jack TURNER – goalkeeper

A former Staines Town and SBSS junior at a young age, he was then with Chelsea and Fulham before joining the AFC Wimbledon ‘School of Excellence’. Was the second choice ’keeper at Kingsmeadow for the final three seasons in the Conference Premier and their first in the nPower League 2 when he made a handful of senior appearances, prior to his return to Staines as one of Marcus Gayle’s first summer signings in 2012.  Proudly wears a pink goalkeeping shirt, to support his mother’s cancer awareness campaign.  Last season he won both the Players’ and Supporters’ Player of the Year Awards at Wheatsheaf Park, and also netted his first senior goal!

De’Reece VANDERHYDE – right back

Joined Staines on a dual registration arrangement with Bishop’s Stortford of the National League South, as one of the first four players brought to Wheatsheaf Park by new manager Johnson Hippolyte in February 2016.  He has previously played for Leyton Orient, Hayes & Yeading United, and Maidenhead United.

Bradley WILSON – left wing

A former Brentford, Watford, and Chelsea junior who signed for the Staines Town Academy in 2015 from Metropolitan Police.

Josh WOODCOCK – goalkeeper

Josh joined the Academy in June 2014, and has become the regular U19 goalkeeper for Staines Town.  Prior to that, he had six years with Esher FC, whom he helped to win promotion.
